Club Sadowsky!!!

Yeah, I know, just couldn't resist sending you a bit of crap on it. :D

Seriously tho, the Sadowsky HC's are really nice. I think at least the 5's are based on the DiMarzio UJ's, and I've always liked those for an HC J sound. I would like to try some straight up model J's at some point tho, and also some Nordstrand NJ5S's. For now tho, I'm still diggin' the SC's most.

You can try my red JJ with HC's. I love it!

I did the NJ5FS (same PU in a Fender size) in the ASJV I had for a while. I thought they were excellent PUs.

Nice!!! Looking forward to it!

Actually, last night I recorded with my Metro Hybrid P/J, straight to my Aguilar DI... The funny thing is that I already recorded it with my Zon but wasn't too happy with the sound, so I decided to try the Sadowsky and It sounded sweet!!!... Shame on me for cheating on my Sadowsky!!! :spit:

How dare you cheat! LOL.

LaBella Hard Rockin' Steels are a great match to the Sadowskys...Thumbs up!

I'm not a fan of SS strings really.
The HC's with the D'Addario XL nickels were killin' last night.

But I'll give the LaBella's a shot at the next string change.

Ash/maple JJ & HC's.....yeah....sweetness....

Too bad I am not a poet. I would write Roger and his crew the most sincere poem because every single time I hear my bass recorded, I get weak in the knees and all flush. His basses are by far at the very top of the pyramid when it comes to tone.

Roger, I know I said this before, but Thank You so much for making such amazing instruments! I know I only have a Metro right now, but I have an NYC on my list to order some day. I honestly cannot imagine anything better than this bass.

Roger is the man! Nothing like a Sadowsky.

"I only have a Metro"...

I have a new Metro WL4 and a 10 year old NYC J4, and I like the Metro better!

I'm thinking of getting a Will Lee soon, but I'm not sure about the thinner neck, how do you compare them?

If you like J necks, I think you'll be fine. The premise behind the width is that it's like an older J neck that's been worn down (narrowed) from years of being played.

OTOH, if you live to play P necks or are hyper sensitive to neck width, you should try before you buy.

What do you mean "you only have a metro" it's still a Sadowsky and in no way inferior to a NYC so enjoy it and play on, at the end of your gig when u put her away the headstock still says Sadowsky and oooh yes the sound also sings Sadowsky.

Nah, Metros actually do suck, and unless you have only NYC basses, you don't have the real thing, and you're just a poser wannabe la-hooser.

;)
