Hi,
When you say clay dots do you mean the color or actually the material?
The dots on my NYC Morado board are matt/cream, great match with the trans white over Ash, BTW. What are they?

Yeah, but with those big blocks, I'm not sure I'd like the super dense figure. Plus, I'd think you wouldn't want to "spend" the most figured piece when you're gonna' cut a bunch of it out.Anyway, looks great and classy to me.

Vic and Bluesycat, Your right it probably would be too much. I am happy with it. I really wasnt putting mine down just lifting Bluesycats board up. I am still shocked everytime I look @ it.

Sadowsky said:Sadowsky Single Coil
Kevin Beller hit a home run with this one. Kevin also makes our single coil 4 and 5 string J-bass pickups.
Sadowsky Humcancelling PU
humcancelling J pickups (4 and 5) have almost always been made by DiMarzio. Steve Blucher is an excellent pickup designer and we go back 30 years together. The design has always dynamically improved as both Steve and I have worked toward my goal of getting as close to a single coil sound as possible. There have always been differences between the Ultra Jazz and the Sadowsky version.
Sadowsy Soap Bar PU
The Modern pickups are custom made for me by Kevin Beller at Seymour Duncan. I have auditioned many other pickups for this model, including soaps that can switch from series-parallel-single coil, and nothing I have tried can come close to this pickup. Full frequency spectrum, good highs, yet it has warmth and punch.
Sadowsky P PU
Our P4 (and matching J) is custom wound for me at DiMarzio.
Our P5 (and matching J) is custom made by Carey Nordstrand."

Guys,
I'm sure this info can be found in one of the old threads, but I'm sure that you'll be faster than the search engine:
I know that The 5-string PJ pickups are built by Nordstrand following Roger's specs but I can't remember if Roger also switched to Nordstrand for the 4-string PJ set or this is still built by Dimarzio (obviously, by Roger's specs).
Just curious if the pickups in my 2005 PJ4 are the same found on new basses.
