Club Sadowsky!!!

Three ibuprofin and a RedBull will help get that waterlogged feeling outta your head.

This before-and-after the sale treatment is primarily why I stay on Talkbass. You just don't get tips like that on the street or at your local GC.

In other news, I have my fingers crossed and am lighting incense for my Roger shrine so that I can win the cocobolo-topped Modern on Ebay!!!

Mmmmm....

Vintage Tint
Cocobolo on Mahogany
Ebony Board, Abalone Face Dots, 12" Radius, 1 7/8" Nut Width
Black hardware
8.10 lbs. (3.67 kg)

YUMMY!!!

Oh! is there a cocobolo-topped Modern on the bay? Gotta grab my platinum card...got it!...bidding on it at the moment.

Thanks for the heads up, ElMon.

I try and share with the group, open up my heart to you, and next thing you know some slick Spaniard gets my Sadowsky out from under me. :bawl:

Later, I'll fly over to confront said gentleman, only to be placated by endless plates of amazing cheese and copious amounts of wine. When I wake from my stupor in a remote part of Basque country, pants gone and no Sadowsky in sight, I"ll chuckle about the great story I'll have later for the forums....IF I live.

:D:D:D

Good luck, man ;)[/QUOTE]

I can taste it now, except not really because I read that Cocobolo is actually quite toxic. Which is good to know as I have a special way of 'marking my territory' on my basses.

Ok, I better grab my card and head over to the auction then... only minutes left now... ;)

I'm guessing that bass kills it. Specs out just like mine 'cept the top. I actually thought about buying it and replacing the PUs with big singles. But, I discovered it'd require the "special" Nordstrand BS wound for the Sadowsky soap/EMG size. They're $300!!!

I do hope a TBer snags it. Whoever does will be most happy.

BTW, looks like I am going to be down to one Sadowsky. Details to follow. :hiding:

Ibuprofin and RedBull would help there too; though you might want to add vodka to the RB for this one...

Swoopin in like a falcon!!! Dastardly GAS-bandit!!!

Good to know bout the PUPS. And yes I hope for great happiness if not financial stability for the next several months. Thank God for a decent day gig and an understanding girlfriend!!

I might just keep all three in my gig bag now. It would help for those 'fill-in gigs gone bad'.

Brief detour back to lemon oil (although the fantasy of shooting off to the land of olives and flamenco lures me....):

This is the real stuff:[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
On the bottle it says "contains concentrated Brazilian lemon oil from the seed as well as rinds". What RS posted applies to 95% of what's most available-polishes, mineral oils and waxes with a trace of the real oil. The pure stuff is wondrous. No sticky residue. Thin and moist.

If that by any chance means you're letting go of that sweet Modern of yours, please forward me your Paypal account info!!! It would ease my pain at letting one slip away!! The GOOD news is I have more money to drink with now :bawl:

$3250. Chef hipped me to a software that let's you bid at the absolute last moment, and I think that the winning buyer had the same thing. I was refreshing the page with seconds to spare and was outbid in the last 3 seconds!!!!

If you didn't get it......it just wasn't right for you. There'll be another calling your name.......
