Club Sadowsky!!!

Best place to get one is on the TB classifieds. Good people here; much less likely to have any problems than with eBay or Craigslist, IMO.

They show up quite regularly. Shouldn't be much of a wait.

Ditto, also when looking in the classifieds here go back lots of pages sometimes guys put an ad and may forget about it and the Sadowsky is still available for sale, I can see them forgetting about the ad, they take the bass to a gig and realize how good it sounds and forget that they wanted to sell it. But yea I would buy it thru here before fleabay.

My Sadowsky Metro V4 with a maple neck and an aftermarket upgrade with a Badass Bridge arrived on Tuesday. I purchased this beast of a bass from a member of the TB family. This is my first Sadowsky and I love it. The bass is white, not my favorite color for a bass, but this is a great playing, great sounding, and good looking bass.

Whenever I first play a bass I play it unpluged. My Sadowsky sounds killer without the amp. I then moved on to playing it through my Markbass Jeff Berlin combo in the passive mode. Once again, killer tone and the action is perfect. Then... I went active, wow I was blown away. This is only my second bass with active electronics and it sounds amazing. I really like the control I have over my sound right on the bass.

My 74 Jazz Bass is offically retired and I don't think my MIM special edition P Bass will get much work now that the white beast has been added to the collection.

I hope I can get pictures up soon.

Proud to be member #334!

But...

But...

I want it RIGHT NOW! ;)

And the only two on eBay right now are a UV70 listed for $2150, which is about $300 higher than I've seen them here, or one located in Tokyo (don't see that one shipping anytime soon :()

So, I guess I'm waiting for one on the Sadowsky site or here.

I'm just GASing for a J-style Sadowsky...

And I just do an advanced search for sadowsky (in the title only), and voila! There they all are.

Sadly, I've played a WL, and I didn't like it nearly as much as the RS or the UV. Plus the one up for sale is red, and I simply don't like red basses.

I'm weird, I know...

Heh. We want what we want. Trust me, I've felt your pain. I didn't become a Sadowsky owner until 2005. Why? Because I like 5-string P-basses. Because of my weirdness, J-style PJ basses don't work for me: gotta have a P body with a single P or MM pickup. Roger didn't offer a 5-string P-bass with P body until mid-2004, but I ordered one as soon as I found out. The 8-9 month wait was difficult, but ABSOLUTELY worth it. The good news for you is that you're looking for pre-owned, so you won't have to wait that long. :)

Like Bart said, these do seem to show up here with some patience. Also, Roger gets really nice used ones on occasion on his website. Of course you can order one specifically for you. Just call or write Kevin. He is great to work with and that way you can get a exactly what you are looking for. Check out Bart's or Blair's new basses. Simply beautiful!;)

IMHO, I don't think it's weird AT ALL that you simply have a strong P style preference. You're in a LOT of great company on that preference. Just sayin'. :)

Havent been on here in a while. Wanted to stop by and say HI. I've been very busy putting a new (4PLAY) band together as my main band and another band on the side and working tons of overtime @ work. Still enjoying my Sadowsky Basses. Hope everyone is doing good.

What up Vic? I have missed reading your posts lately. Anything new?
