I've posted videos of my new Sadowskys (Whitey and Red), but never any of Blackie, which has been my #1 since I got her in April 2005. But hey, for better or worse 
I can remedy that (still not used to being video'd... sigh). Yesterday I got together with TBers parsons and JGR to check out the tube preamp that JGR designed and built, and some videos were taken. So what the heck... here's me riffing around on Blackie thru a killer rig: Jonathan's tube preamp, SWR 750 power amp, and a pair of Bag End S15-D cabs. The bass is set to active with no EQ boost.

I don't know if you can hear my comments, but Blackie still sports the orange DR Neon coated strings I put on last Halloween. The Neons are flexible round core strings and also tuned down a half step, so they bottom out under my clams. Despite all that, I think they sound pretty good. As with all the coated strings I've tried the highs are attenuated, but mids are strong and the lows are tight, even down low.

We use the same wire on our guitars and basses.
Our wire spec is .094" wide and .051" high.
18% nickel-silver, 200Hv hardness (maximum for nickel-silver)
Anti-rust/anti-tarnish formulation
Thanks Timothy. When I first got my bass I was blown away by how big these frets where compared to the original frets on my '66 Jazz. Never needed a refret on it and I think they are nickel as well. I suppose it's because I've always used nickel or flatwound strings.
It's all relative, of course. The Sadowsky frets are tall compared to vintage, but aren't as huge as the jumbo frets used by some manufacturers.

Yeah, and I'm not complaining, just an observation. These basses are the best so I wasn't doubting the quality of craftsmanship or material.
