Hey, somehow amazingly, you've missed that I also have "coffee-table" basses, including one of my Sadowsky basses (tho it is a sunburst I guess), so it'd be pretty hard for me to jab at someone else about liking them. :D :D

So yeah, I definitely have to give you a bi on this one. :)

Ackk! It's beautiful (though it would be even better with black hardware)! I feel like I should be buying it on principle alone... ;)

Edit: on second thought, given that it doesn't have the position markers I think it works better with the chrome hardware. Man that's a pretty bass!

And a non-tinted fretboard. But then you'd have a matching set. And that would be crazed.

I was actually toying with the idea of getting a 5-string version of yours for a while, before I settled on the stats for mine. But then I figured that would be a little creepy.
