Youre gonna love it. I have one of the first hybrids that came through the shop a few years ago. Ive gigged it so much the first few frets are wearing out!!!

It plays great, looks like a million bucks, and can cover any tune. Enjoy

actually I've been wondering, whats the difference between a HPJ5 and a PJ5?
is it the position of the pickups? or just the body?

@ Dickie - I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling the MV4 because it's a beautiful bass. I really liked the way it resonates. It's wood is very responsive, although that's no surprise to anyone on this list!

Good luck with the Glaub. I know what you mean about wanting to keep them all! I'm in the same boat, in that I can only justify having one or two. Wait... since I only have one at present, that means I can justify having a second!

Dan, I gigged with the MV4 last night and I am so glad I didn't sell it. It totally killed, sounded and played great. She is a keeper,at least for now. I will admit that I flip flop on a lot a basses, I enjoy the excitement of getting something new. This is a great bass that I am glad to keep for a while longer.
I really want an HPJ now too

New Tamron 18-200 lens! Even a hack like me can make it look good from time to time with it! I left the tripod at work and was too lazy to fix any crookedness, etc. in photoshop!

Doesn't surprise me at all... Glad your still gigging with it. That bass was always a treat to play live. I do miss that bass, although my MV5 is awesome. I just put some Fat Beams on it today. Bass Specialties didn't have the Sadowsky stainless 45-130 that I normally go for, so I went with the DR. Anyone else using DR strings on their Sadowsky?

Me too. Rarely use anything else anymore. I've got one bass that has some nickel Lo-Riders on it but when they go dead it's back to the Hi-Beams.

I usually use hi beams but I went fat last time and they are great strings. Not sure if I'm ready to give up the hi beams yet though.....
