Just curious, did you get this bass at Premier Bass in Superior? If so, you got a GREAT playing/feeling bass! I had played it several times and it would have been mine if still there this weekend.

Aargh, the hardest part of the waiting process is the very last moments! When ordering, of course there's some excitement, but during the following months, it's quite bearable, as I don't think about it every minute anymore, but dang, the last weeks/days sure are hard...
My WL5 didn't make it anymore for a December delivery as was stated, so it should be any moment now, hence my 'waiting-frustration'

Man, got 4098 back in my hands today. I had no idea how much I missed that bass. Dayum. This bass will be part of my will for sure.
The tru-oil finish on the neck is just phenomenal. Exactly what I hoped for. Just feels like smooth wood, with that kinda' warmth you get when there's not a layer of poly/nitro on it. I'll eagerly anticipate when it starts to really look and feel more like a well played early 60's J.

We hope to take ITB to the next level this year, and we believe the video will be a key part of that. All the great feedback here from yourself and others (all of whom I greatly respect) has really helped affirm it should be able to do its job.
...and I can't tell you how honored I am to both own it as well as enjoy the kind of personal attention you guys always give your customers. Every single time I interact with ANYONE at the shop, I feel like royalty, and I know you treat all your customers that way. Truly exemplary service. To me, that kind of encapsulates the "Sadowsky experience"... that and a TRUCKLOAD of TONE.

Thanks, man. I went to Bass San Diego to buy that bass in a '59 burst, but I have a couple other basses in burst. I saw that magpie sitting out on a stand - it wasn't even on their website yet.
I played it at practice last night, and it sounds fantastic and plays like a Sadowsky. I'm going to go buy some Schaller straplocks for it tonight.

Cool, Munji. Nice to see you with something other than a Modern. Im hoping the time we spent at the GTG a couple years back helped you realize how cool the vintage J's are. Did you get the single coils or are they hum canceling pickups? Enjoy.

Both Metros I've had the pleasure of playing have been perfect. Great instruments presuming you are able to pick one in your weight range.
