Not exactly a bass showcase but I thought it came out ok for something I kind of threw together with what footage I had. Most of our casino venues do not allow any filming and unfortunately the one that did has barely any lighting gear and no one to run it. But at least we're WELL lit!

Very nice! A couple my buds here in town also play in a corporate/wedding band called Sway... Too funny. The good thing is that there is always a Sadowsky in their mix as well.
The more Sadowsky the better I say...

I prefer to see you rockin' out, Lizzy, but versatility is a great thing, and helps pay the bills. You still have outlets for your creativity, and heck, I'm sure you're creative in the Top 40 format.

Nice. Great looking band, good songlist for the demo. Band grooves nicely, and those tunes are more fun to play than you would think. Very similar to the deal I'm doing at this point, although we have an imbedded DJ in the group (and of course, a freelance revolving roster of players).
Key to working that scene is keeping that songlist up to date. Nice job.

Hey Liz, nice to see you on here and great promo! We play the same circuit. I'm in the new band Social Network that does basically the same music. Saw you for a few minutes at Tulalip before heading to our gig there in one of the banquet rooms. Sounded great! I know from some inside sources that the Tulalip crew loves your band.
If you ever head out to 7 Cedars Casino in Sequim they'll do filming there (or at least they did before the recent club face lift). Already have all the equipment hooked up to show the band on the screens. Just have to hit record from what I understand. Worth looking into. Scott, the sound guy there, is super nice, good at what he does. and easy to get along with.

We've been doing all the major casinos around the PNW: Tulalip, Muckleshoot, Red Wind, Emerald Queen, 7 Cedars, Clearwater, Great American (where the video was shot.)
We actually do rock out pretty hard, our spin is making the dance hits more rock-like with some heavy guitar.
I know! I've been in the band for a couple years now, and was hesitant to take the gig when it was offered because I knew I would probably dislike the tunes but it is a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
Absolutely - we just added a bunch of new tunes, some still in the top 10 right now, and people are going NUTS for 'em which makes us feel like big rock stars.
And we don't have to do any of the tired old classics like Play That Funky Music or Brickhouse. Fresh is best!

Yeah, those guys are great. We've done that one a few times and always fork over the $$ for a DVD from them. Only it includes all the video effects they like to throw on, so not always useful but the audio is REALLY useful. We recently had a change of personnel and needed a new promo vid ASAP and haven't gotten back in there yet with this lineup but I'm working on it. I had to put this one together fast so we could update everything.
And just to be on topic.....I love playing the MV4 in this band. I use a drop D tuner on a number of things, and an octave pedal to get some low notes when I need to. But grooving out on this bass is just a blast and gives me a little smile every time. One thing playing in this band has taught me...playing just a couple notes repeatedly for an entire song, without trying to fill it up with show-offy fills and whatnot, and just making it feel good is actually pretty dang satisfying.

I once saw footage of a local live show here, and at one point the bassist went into a fairly wicked solo, and the camera was on the guitarist who was pedalling the same chord throughout the whole thing. I don't remember the show or band now, of course...

Well said, and agree. Although I study straight ahead jazz in school, I had a great time playing in a slamming R&B band before leaving for school. It was so much fun to be making the party happen, everybody dancing, everybody singing.
I like Sadowsky basses because they get the job done with no fuss. They sound great and play wonderfully.
