It's Valentines Day. I don't get it. The flowers, candy, yada, yada, yada, etc.

What I do get, is the love for music & Sadowsky basses! I am so much more happy with a "new" bass or strings, etc than the traditional V day gifts!

Is there something wrong with this So Cal girl??

So Cal? Didn't your first Sadowsky come with an honorary NYC citizenship certificate? That's why I ordered one in the first place...

Anyone running extra light (40-55-75-95) on their 4-string? I'm not a stainless guy so those came off, now have Dunlop nickels 45-105 but have gotten used to slinkier strings on my other basses.

I got a question: Who of you use your Sadowsky in passive mode? I ran it in passive at a rehearsal and it blew my mind...

almost always when recording. sometimes hard to dial in active without distorting.

I usually run my Sadowsky P4 bass in passive mode , but I always play my Sadowsky 5 string in active , also it can depend on the room for me , or the band , lots o options , my 5 string is a 1999 and I never had the passive tone control installed , I am sure that would be nice , I need to do that , I love the tonal options I get with having both on the P bass though

It's what came on my Fodera and I've gotten to like them. Easy on the hands, similar tension to the fatter la bellas on my Rob Allens. Have to be careful with intonation, other than that no downside at least on the Fodera.

My gtr instructor agrees with you 100%. "Will" went nuts over this bass and in the recording of tonights's lesson, he said... "Sadowsky makes the best basses."

If you like slinky, TI PowerBass strings are the way to go. There's no sacrifice of tone or volume, either.

Well, isn't it my PJ5's brother from another mother :-D

I've also returned the SS blues to mine as well, although I kinda miss the slinky feel of the TI jazz rounds I had on. Anyone ever use DR Fat beams on a PJ?
