I remember when someone picked this one up from the shop as a preowned bass a long time ago. There's sompin' real special for me in the sound of these '50's Ps. IF I was to do it, I would even consider a "hard vee" P neck profile. I wonder also about a quiet single coil if shielded well.

It could be they just haven't updated it from their last incoming shipment from Japan... they're probably still waiting on the next shipment to come in. I imagine they have them all shipped from the Japan shop together to save money... but this is all speculation.

They're both great basses, no wrong choice IMO. Which do you like more: the size of a jazz bass neck or a P-bass? The hybrid has a jazz neck.

actually neck is not a problem for me,i have a harris p bass and the neck is very very thick and i used to it,the point is i am searchin warmy and smooth bass tones and my precision has a very modern precision tones

They are very different, to me the Precision is more "midrange" sounding and the Sadowsky has a more Hi-fi sound... I have both a '75 Precision and a Sadowsky Metro P/J and I gotta tell you the Sadowsky is my main gigging and recording bass right now. If you already have a Steve Harris you should get a Sadowsky...
