Yep. That comes from the overwhelming funk that fills the air in vapor form. Once inhaled, it alters the molecular structure of the tissues in the face, causing...bass face.

Lol!!! I think people around me must think I'm crazy since I bursted into laughter reading this since I can relate.

I'm told I make that exact Stink Bass Face with the mix of looking like I'm trying to derive an advanced form of a differential equation.

Nice!!!!!!!

P pup soloed w/lots of preamp bass & treble.(for a change). Sorry guys - no grind allowed on this baby. ;)

Thanks man. I'm gonna stop short of the hat & boots though. :)
I sure do recommend CD quality sample rate recording. It's a lot bigger file size but so much more frequency rich throughout than mp3. I've come to appreciate that even more now with the EQ tweaking in the bass on the overdubs. The 320 kbps mp3 is not bad but a definite compromise. Oh well- the price of portable convenience. Audio Compression done WELL results in more frequency richness also as it can bring all frequencies into a better cohesive balance but mp3 conversion diminishes those frequencies. File size compression (different than signal compression) that the hosting site does for streaming is another step down but reverts to normal mp3 fidelity if downloaded.
Edit: One of the nuances that is gained in a WAV, CD sample rate I notice (as recorded in this overdub), is that the fat bass has more "slam", or note smack, that is so appealing to many bass players. When I converted to mp3, it got diminished somewhat.

Spalted maple is my all-time favourite top wood. That's what I have on my Sadowsky. I find olive compelling just because I'd never come across it before. I kind of feel that a given luthier or maker's reasons for carrying wood X but not Y, or why one uses a proprietary preamp while another goes third-party, as interesting as the basses themselves.

So; more of a though experiment than a feeler towards a purchase.
