I agree. My thanks go out to Roger and Kevin for helping me get through the ordering process without having a coronary, and to my wife for picking the top I ended up with.
Roger's taste in wood is exquisite. Really.
I won't bore you with the steps involved to make it happen financially, nor the days-long search to find her, but this afternoon I ordered the black/maple MV4 for which I'd been GAS'ing like a Humvee at an Exxon station. Used-but-mint at Atlanta Bass Gallery. Also ordered a de-tuner from Sadowsky. This is going to be my No.1 bass in a busy hard rock/classic rock cover band I recently joined.
A few years ago, I bought a lake placid blue RV4 and later sold it. One of the dumbassiest things I've done. Today, I made myself whole.

Yep, I know the bass cause I own it now. It's by far the best bass I've owned and I'm pretty sure it will be with me for some time. It's my first Sadowsky and I'm hooked. Congrats on the new purchase. The black and maple looks killer.
It does!! Love this set up!! Unfortunately the Aggie is back to the store as it made plopping sound once in a while. I believe something in the pre amp or so as I heard it through the DI as well.. (when not playing) Anyway this will be solved and I can BANG on!!

I had major insomnia last night, so I got out the camera and the bass and took a few artsy-fartsy shots to remind myself of when I shot more seriously. The skillset is rusty as he77, but I think I'd like to get more into shooting (photos) whenever I have the time... Like, after the one-year-old is in college...
Sigh.
Pretty! If/when I end up ordering a NYC, that's the kind of top that I want.
At the moment, I'm talking myself out of buying another Metro (this time an MV5-24) so that I'd have a backup while I'm on tour.

I checked your site. I loved the strangers section especially. I'd love to ask you a bunch of irritating questions about your lenses and such over PM, if I may. one of my problems is that I made the switch to digital, but all my lenses are still the ones from my old Nikon F80, so obviously none of them work like they're supposed to...

Basically identical to my #1 bass, and yet I gas for it. I guess that says it all.
I have been wanting to try a set of Black Nickel strings. If any one would like to sell a set or trade me for a set of Blue Stainless Steel. The Black nickel are on B.O. @ the moment or I would just buy some from Roger and Kevin. Thanks
Hey folks, I'm thinking of ordering a blue super sparkle Sadowsky 4 to match my recent 8-stringed arrival (shameless post of a non Sadowsky). Question is anybody know how/if the supersparkle polycoat coat finish will affect the tone? I love the look of supersparkle after seeing silver one and the ones Roger did for Adam Clayton...just want it in cobalt blue with MOP inlays. Unfortunately going to have sell a mess of gear to swing it.
