I do not have a boomy issue anymore. It was just figuring out how to record properly.

I was also seriously distracted by that Alembic Exploiter they have for sale there as well. But, all my extra cash is going for my first Sadowsky UV custom 4 string. Hopefully the magic envelope will arrive mid next week...and then the waiting begins!

I already have my Trans-Red - basically the same bass. So, this one at the Low End is one killer bass in my favorite color Blue. But, I have my eyes on something else right now.

Thanks. Just was curious of the tone out of each. Check out the wave pattern as each trails off! Interesting.
I prefer the PJ5 tone. The Grosh has Aguilar OBP-2TK Preamp, which is okay. But it is not as adjustable as what's in the Sadowsky.

The Grosh PJ4 is wired:
P-vol
J-vol and pull for Passive mode / push for Active
Treble boost/cut - This knob is 100% inactive in Passive mode.
Bass boost/cut - This knob is 100% inactive in Passive mode.

There is no tone control in Passive.

I am and I am......I always loved this combo. But, the last thing I need is another Standard 4. I already got 2!
Plus, I think I might be jumping back on the 5 string wagon soon. Got that need for low B again!

I was on the fence abour that one.
Juat couldnt justify at least $800 more to get a nice top over the 4 I just bought.
It is sweet as hell though.
