And that black pick-guard......buh bye! Needs a pearl white of something. That black is nasty. And not in a ConFunkshun nasty kinda way......

Hey Mike, you still rocking that wicked Valenti from a few years back?

Oh, I agree that a white guard would look great on that bass. Especially a pearl one.

Thx dude, I can't say enough about the bass and since I have been at rehearsal I can see what the big fuss about it being in the mix and am doing a show tomorrow. I nvr saw the big deal aboutta lotts frets since u only need 21 to grab that 4th octave E and even with the fenders 20 fret necks I just bent up to the E....I always figured 20 frets Leo liked because that means every note has a 3 octave range and it,wasn't fair to get a fourth octave E,F,F# etc and leave the others out. The only time I ever wish I had 24 frets is when I'm tapping and can't get to the octave, other than that .....

More fun environments with the M5-24. Last night, we did an outdoor concert in Toledo (wind ensemble), and I'm still pleased. Elevated stage (maybe 2 feet??) in the middle of a park. Every new setting yields the same/similar result-great sound that fits the ensemble.

Pending any surprises, I'll be ordering #2 in October. RV5-PJ in '59 Burst. It seems like it'll be a nice compliment to my M5-24. However, I'm also keeping my eyes open for whatever comes up used.

Thx, u know where I'm coming from getting the fever and they had a cherry burst which is georgous so I had to have it. Now that my fever has broke I'm seriously contemplating ordering a custom one with some inlays and some sort of sonic blue which is prolly one of my all time schemes. I have a great teal green '98 fender precision deluxe which had the humbucker in the bridge which they discontinued with the small custom ash body and maple board....rare and that thing is the ultimate slap machine but I have been considering one of the p/j sadowskys with the ash/maple which is in my mind the ultimate combo for slap!!!

I have never used sadowsky strings until I got my will lee(started playing bass in '84!!!!) so all I have are the blue ones that came on my bass. What is the difference between the black and blue stainless. I think the blues have a ferrous based metal(iron based) in em because they are magnetic and stainless isn't magnetic....???

Yup, still have the Valenti.
Its on loan to anothe tb'r at the moment who is going through some tough times and like I did, had to off moat of hia gear.
