Gracias, amigo. When Kevin showed me the wetted surface of the naked body of the blue bass, I was a little underwhelmed, though I didn't voice at the time. It turned out better than hoped for regardless.

Thank you; you're a fellow who knows his way around fine basses for sure. Just about done acquiring basses, and actually thinking about selling a few...we'll see. The beauty and functionality of the basses coming out of the Sadowsky L.I.C. facility is just a joy to behold. It's also nice to visit them; as a native Long Islander we speak the same language
Used the 4-banger on stage last night, sweltering, humid as #$$ evening in Clearwater. The bass stayed in tune, and filled the club with tonal goodness. I like, in a perverse way, sweating all over the bass. Part of the aging process, part of making the instrument yours. Sad that they get dinged up, but they're not museum pieces, and long to be played (yes, they do have souls).

Mrs. Roadkill has an uncle in Freeport. I worked a visit to the shop into a family visit back when they were still on Jay Street. When one is that close, it kind of *has* to happen, right?
I dinged my Sadowsky for the first time last month. I hated that. For a second. I didn't spend Sadowsky money to have a bass that couldn't take a knock or two...
I have a few dings on 5693 and I hate it. but I agree, I bought it to play, get wild with on stage, sweat all over it, get beer splatters sometimes, play @ hot and humid or cold October or early april festivals etc. (Although I do clean it very well everytime I use it.) It was bought to enjoy its tone and playability. Its beauty is just icing on the cake.

Have you thought about sending it to the shop to convert it to JJ? It can be done when the bass is built as a PJ.

That flamey 4 is the one that made me want a Sadowsky, so seeing the girls hang out like that is kinda cool for me.
I'd originally gone over to try and work out an EQ issue on my bass amp, as apartment living isn't really conductive to playing through an amp. Once my issue was solved, there was still plenty of time to play with basses. Which is an *excellent* way to spend labour day.
Uh, and I'll admit to failing math every year in high school. Which didn't bug me up until I signed up for an astronomy course for this November and realised that I can't do the math.
