Yes, It would be nice to try some Sadowsky strings on my Zon as well. I wish Rodger would have extra "C" strings to buy for people with 6-string basses that love the Sadowsky brand strings...I think there could be a market for that, I don't know how cost effective business wise that would make for Rodger but I know once you really like certain strings you generally keep going back. Could that be like asking for a "MId" knob control tho? J/K. I love Sadowsky's other accessories like their padded strap, polish, wrench tools, and the incredible PortaBag.

I'm another stainless guy. I find you can always tame a brigher, aggressive tone compared to brightening up a warm tone.

Nickels have a slick feel which I like, but they don't have that "immediate" feel that SS do. I have a pretty light touch and enjoy SS as they are more touch sensitive and harmonically richer. Tone control is all it takes to mellow them out a bit.

DR guy here. FatBeams & Lo-Riders. (Wish Blue's came in other gauges).

I just put Sadowsky Blue steels back on my Sadowsky after trying out some Thomastiks. I wasn't feeling the Thomastiks at all (though I love their flats) and the Sadowsky Blues really sound right on this bass. I also recently put some DR Low Riders on my Lull (replacing some Dunlops) but they're not doing anything for me so I'm going to put Sadowskys on that as well.

The ProSteels are good strings. Almost the same as the Sadowsky Black Steels. The Blues
Have less tension and I just found them to work better on my Standard 4s for my tone goals.
But, if I were out of the Sadowsky strings and needed a set quick, the ProSteels would be my
first choice!

SS Lo-Riders are great. I'm always going between them, sadowsky blue ss and rotosounds. Also tried SIT's on my Sadowsky and they were great for recording....

I am a Blue Steels fan myself, recently i tried the Marcus Miller DR FAT BEAMS, man are they good. Great strings if you ran out of the SADOWSKY Blue Steels and could not put an order in time for your next gig. The DR FAT BEAMS excellent alternative. Never liked Nickels myself, too slinky for me.

OMG does the neck on this WL feel insanely good.
I've had some killer 4 strings before, but this may be the best neck i've played.
More later...gonna go play.....sorta. stuck at work looking at the case right now....grr :mad:
