Update:
My "PJ5 with Sadowsky Flats" experiment has run it's course.
I like the way they sound well enough, but they feel "grabby/tacky," and I just don't feel I can move about on them as comfortably as I'd like.
That, and I just miss how much skank that bass has with fresh blue stainless on it.
Which is what it has on it now. So I got that goin' for me.

Are you sure that it's green enough for you, MM?

may i ask if anyone knows whether sadowsky bass nuts are able to hold strings with medium gauge or higher (i.e. .050, .070, .085, .105, .135) without any modifications?
Sadowsky said:We cut our nuts for 45-130. If you put on a higher gauge, you can feel if the string is sticking in the nut slot by pulling the string up and out of the slot. If you feel resistance, take it to a tech to have the slots opened up a bit.

A bass this beautiful should come with a warning tag:
"May cause heart palpitations, erratic breathing, and loss of concentration. And involuntary finger twitching"
