Model: NYC Modern 5-24 fret
Body: Ash / flamed maple top
Neck: maple/maple
Electrics: Nordstrand Big Singles in Sadowsky shells / Sadowsky Pre
Hardware: Black
Finish: Trans. black / black burst edging.
Misc: Standard nut width, black face dots, recessed straplocks, portabag.

That's it until Sadowsky confirm the spec back to me - I'm sure I agreed alot more with Kevin over the phone, but I don't remember!

I've got to decide over a vintage tint on the neck, or not. Right now I'm in "modern metal" mode, and thinking that a vintage tint might dull the "modern" :D

I think it should be a good sonic counterpart to my all black Celinder 4 string.

WOAH NELLIE! That should be amazing. My compliments to the chef! :)

FWIW, if it was my bass, I think I'd go with the non-tinted neck finish. I love it on J's, but on the 24F/Modern, I don't think it fits as well aesthetically. Only MHO!

These sound about as different from something like a Celinder as you can get. It'll really expand your tonal coverage in a big way. :)

I ALMOST pulled the trigger on that one. I believe that's also the one that has a one-piece solid ash body. I'm betting the tone on that one was especially amazing!

Yep. You're right. I guess I just assumed from Ace of Bass's post that it was on the pending or sold list. Yeah, it's still up fer grabs. Thing is, don't wait too long... somebody already asked me if I had a price list with it on there, and I do. :)

When I asked Roger if he'd build me this bass, he felt that the Alnico Basslines pickup would work best with his preamp.

Kobass is right, it's a coil selector switch:
Series/Single Coil/Parallel.

And it weighs in at a back-breaking 7.1 lbs! :smug:
