Sadowsky provide protectors to put over the supports on the guitar stands such as the "Ultimate" that support the guitar / bass by the neck. The top part of these stands that actually contacts the finish of the neck of the bass has a smooth type of what appears to be a type of rubber?

Has anyone had any problems with the nitro finish on the neck of their Sadowsky from NOT using the provided protectors?

Koa indeed. I had Kevin send me pictures of every 25th Anniversary body that came in until that one popped up. It's almost exactly like one I missed out on. It's got a custom reverse-wired blend pot.

Both the Herculese and Genesis hanging type stands are rated 'nitro friendly' so no need to use those. I believe the stands that benefit from them are the old 'tubular' type stands with the yellow rubber type tube padding on the upper support part of the stand.

THat's good to hear about the Hercules, I have two Sadowsky's hanging on them (its a tripple stand with the "catch" hangers), and couldn't for the life of me work out how to get Roger's fuzzy finger warmers to go over the stand. I was trying to work out whaqt they were for and my best guess was to keep your ring and pinky finger on the right hand warm while the others were busy playing!

+1 On the manual labor thing. last night I broke my bass/volume pot on my UV70 (accidently kicked it while on a stand). Now the whole stack wobbles like a weeble. I have to take it to Roger &Co. for repair.

Here is a website that shows info on the RB and RJ models - but the RA is not mentioned:

(The only error I can see on this is the RJ is vol, vol vs. vol, pan as indicated.)

Bump for anybody with more info on the Tokyo's - they are right up there with the NYC's and Metro's in my book.

I have been using one for a couple of years and have had no issues.

I like the 5 acoustic guitar model. It is larger and I can fir 8 basses on it if needed.

+1 Yeah, I have a Standard 5 in this color. And, this one is sure nice @ $3925.!! The Black 24/4 is hot too!
I get nervous when I get the new update emails as well. I'm afraid I will see my next bass and get
