I could swear that is my image of a bass I owned briefly, several years ago - that sure looks like my bedroom floor, rug up, with late-afternoon light, which was my favored bass-photography mode for a while. That was a nice axe. And one heck of a big toe!
I got it here on TB back in 2007 or 2008, but I don't remember who I bought it from.
The Sadowsky corner of the bass room just got a little happier with the addition of a mint hpj4 in trans black - the plastic film on the pg and control plate have yet to be removed! Sweet little bass and light too - 8lbs 10!
Had mine in 2009, only for a few months. Thinking that's my photo, based on all clues including the shadow of a plant, over my left shoulder, visible in the reflection along the sunlight accent along the cutback of the low-right bout of the axe. And the toe looks darned familiar, as well as that floor and the lighting. Interestingly, I don't seem to have images of that bass which is unusual - I usually keep one, from each axe I've had.
I have more pics, but nothing really has any good reflections in them...or show more than just the bass.

I'd scanned back through my feedback from 2009, but it looks like neither of us left feedback for the other. I'll see if I can find the original post and correct that...
Glad to see this bass still with you. IIRC, I got it from Rodneyat, and this bass was previously with Kenny Ames for a while. I gave it up because the 5/24 ergonomics are way better for me than the J-style, but this was a fine axe.

Yep, Kenny contacted me the other day. It's actually heading to his buddy, Tully Kennedy next. I'll post some pics of what I'm getting in return once they arrive, but let's say I won't be without a Sadowsky.
I've been rotating my 6 Fender Jazzes with my Will Lee
Metro 4 string at band practices which are at a sheet metal
factory (an extremely LIVE concrete and steel room).
Getting a decent sound in such a live room is difficult at best,
but it's amazing how the Sadowsky out-performs all the
rest of them.
Last night was the Sadowsky's turn in the rotation and
it's downright startling how it handles the room without
any boominess and it cuts through the mix beautifully..
The other band members notice it too which is always a good thing.
I continue to be amazed by this fine bass and
the total quality of the instrument on all levels.
Before I owned a Sadowsky I thought the gushing by owners
had to be overblown. I thought it was ridiculous. Now I'm
one of them. I understand the unabashed gushing and must confess,
I'm inclined to do the same.
They're really THAT good!

So the other day I finally got around to putting a set of EB Cobalts on my HPJ4. I like them a lot, very modern sounding. Sounded great live on Wednesday with the rest of the band. Made my Sadowsky even better.
