Club Sadowsky!!!

I'm wondering how the new design (deeper neck pockets) will affect how low the action can be set. I guess I'll find out soon.
The depth of the neck pocket is not the issue.....it is the neck angle that affects how low you can take the action. If your bridge saddles are bottomed out or too high, you adjust that by adjusting the angle of the neck, not the depth of the neck pocket. What we accomplished by deepening the neck pocket on the standard style basses is to have the string to body distance be the same if the bass was make with a pickguard or without one.

I was under the impression that the deeper neck pocket was going to become standard on basses with no pick guard but I could be wrong. Unless the neck is angled differently I don't see how the action could be set as low as it can be with the shallower neck pockets. Perhaps Roger will comment (though he doesn't seem to be frequenting the site as much as he used to - maybe he doesn't like the new layout :D).

We have made the deeper neck pocket the default spec on all "standard" style basses. "Standard" means no pickguard and control plate.

Finally have some reason to post after long absence. This is coming to me this week!

^ That's a great look! Gold anodized is the new tort.

Did you come up with that combo or find it on the In Stock page?

Wish you good groovin' with it.

Ordered it like that. Ash body unchambered, braz rw board, std nut. Have an extra tort guard too just in case.

Do they send you pictures just before it ships? I think mine is supposed to ship early next week (I just sent back the final invoice yesterday), but I haven't gotten the "final picture" goodness yet...

Spectacular bass by the way!

Thx. They'll send u pics if you ask nice and compliment Rogers tranquil and slim new spokesmodel

My open faced "vintage" style tuners on my NYC P have set screws at the base of each one. Can anyone tell me how they are supposed to be adjusted? As of now I have them adjusted so with a light touch on the allen wrench they stop turning when hitting the tuning shaft.
