Club Sadowsky!!!

Does anyone know which Sadowsky strings are usually put on the new Metro's?

The person I bought mine off never changed the strings and they are still quite vibrant and lively but would love to get another set. They FEEL like Nickel but that's only because they are smoother than im used to (historically use SS Rotosounds)

Thanks all :-)

So, I'm kind of curious. I'm going to get a different color pickguard for it with the JJ setup, either black or tort. However, I'm really on the fence. Any thoughts?

FWIW I like the current guard... but the only time I like tort is with 3-color burst, so I vote for black.

Hi! I just bought a new sadowsky M5-24 from ishibashii gakki here in Japan, and when i got home i found a small scratch(2cm), a dent near the output jack(.5cm long & about 1mm deep) & a ding at the headstock(1.5cm long & about 3mm wide). Is this normal? It is a store display but i paid it same as new. Serial is M7621
If they will give some compensation, how much should i expect?

It's a very generous offer. Take it. Changes are it will get more dings in the future.

My thoughts exactly. A nice bonus is that you don't have to worry about putting that first ding on it yourself -- it's already taken care of. ;)

I get it: some folks like their instruments pristine. I do my best to keep mine that way, but stuff inevitably happens.

Sold as new....I didn't inspect it that much since it is new. I called the shop and they are very sorry about it, they didn't know it had some dings. They offered me 5% discount plus a sadowsky neostrap and a set of sadowsky blue SS.

Yes, this is a good customer service offer. Especially since you love the bass. The strings, strap and 5% off makes it that much better. If you are going to play it out those dings will happen eventually. Sometimes that first ding is a sigh of relief.
Enjoy your new bass and post up some pics! 新しいギター楽しんでください!
