When you want to do it perfect you always need to make some final adjustments...think about the way Roger matches each body to a neck and make 'em fit like a glove...same principles apply.

I'm kind of with Vic on this one. Hey if it works for Roger, cool. But, it seems that if anything could be 'standardized', it would be a pick guard attached to a CNC'd body:confused:

How much variation could there be. Strange.

Yeah, all due respect to Roger and his standards for quality, but +1.

Sounds like yer talkin' about my straight up NYC MV5 w/SC's (no figured woods or fancy finishes). Seriously. Bought used, one of the best investments I've ever made. :)

I don't know if anyone watches Emeril Live (or the Food Network at all for that matter) :p If anyone does by chance the bass player in the Emeril Live band has a sick, crunchy tone goin on most of the time I catch the show. I was trying to check out his gear one day and he appeared to be playing a Sadowsky Modern but I couldn't get a shot of the rig. Can anyone confirm this?

You don't even want to know how much Shedlon Dingwall charges for an extra guard. His guards are individually cut as well. And yes I think its weird as well.

So a little background on this bass. I ordered this direct from the Sadowsky shop back in late april. When the bass arrived it was not quite sonic blue and had some shipping damage.

Anyway I was a little bummed but Kevin took good care of me so I chose to reorder it. To hold me over I bought a RV4 which has been my only bass since.

They must have pushed my order through cause three months after I reordered it, it was here and ready to be picked up!

I picked it up Friday and have been playing it almost non stop since. Totally everything a P-bass should be, plus more thanks to the preamp. Plays effortlessly, sounds round and fat, a perfect compliment to my RV4.

I gotta thank Roger, Rob and Kevin, and everyone else at Sadowsky for their help. They're an awesome group to deal with.

These two should be all I need for a while, or at least until I can afford a NYC M5-24.
