Im gonna tape down the pup cover at my gig tonight. I want to see if will get in my way too much. with playing so many styles...Im all about different right hand positions. Has anyone else put one on and thought it was a mistake???

That is truly one of the most beautiful basses I've ever seen. And I wouldn't worry about it if the cover interferes with your playing position. As much as I like the LOOKS of covers on basses, on your bass I think I prefer it without the cover.
My Sadowsky can break wine glasses!
Pretty funny story last night....
I was jamming with my blues band and decided to bring my Sadowsky instead of the usual 1974 P I have been using with this band for over a year.
I play direct into a PA through a Markbass F1 as a DI (no speakers attached to the F1). The PA supports keyboards, electronic drums, bongos, harp, a guitar and 6 mics as well as my bass.
Anyways, The Sadowsky is so much more agressive than the P bass obviously and even at similar volume to the P, the Sadowsky rattled a bunch of wine glasses hanging from wine holders (the ones that hang glasses upside down off the ceiling) right out of the holder and they kept smashing on the ground. This hasn't happened before even when I brought a SR5.
Funny now, but not so funny while it was happening!
Here is the culprit!

Did they deduct breakage out of the band pay?
Nope. Thankfully the expensive Riedel glasses didn't break.
