Similar for me tonight. Taking these two Sadowsky Metros through a Mesa D-800 and Berg CN212. Can't wait. First gig with D-800.
Have a good show and let me know how the Subway and CN212 play together. I am ready to pull the trigger on one.
Do you think Sadowsky would build me a NYC 4 strings with a nut witdh of 1.65"?

Never heard of a 1.65" nut width on a Sadowsky or any 'standard' bass. A 1.625" nut width is more common (current Fender Precision Bass, non-SLO EBMM Stingray, ...). AFAIK, you can always choose the following when ordering an NYC:
- nut width 4-string: 1.5" or 1.75" (1.45" only on WL)
- nut width 5-string: 1.75" or 1.875" (1.75" on WL)
- string spacing @ bridge 4-string: 20mm standard, 19mm optional
- string spacing @ bridge 5-string: 19mm standard, 18mm optional
- radius 4-string: 12" standard, 9" optional
- radius 5-string: 12" only

Like a glove... clear and full. However, I'm still finding my sound on that amp. I'd like to try a Sadowsky modern with this rig next time, I think. (I still like the V4B/212AV with the P/J 5).
stock update... this Metro should totally kill... solid ash body, 8.56 pounds, all I'd do to it is slap some singles in it. DONE.

At sound check with Subway and a Modern. OMG, this is the sound I've been looking for. Amp brings out the purr in the Sadowsky. I better not miss a note tonight.
I'll stick with it the V4B for the P/J 5.
Happy to say I'll be joining the Sadowsky ranks as my new beauty is on her way!

So i sold most my basses after owning a metro uv70 for a month and decided I needed a 5 string Sadowsky.
Got a metro will lee 5 coming to my door tomorrow and I just purchased a metro mv5pj....

Well I retracted my deal in the pj5. The will lee neck is perfect!! Getting used to th single coils but I'm really digging it at the moment. The seller said the bass weighs 9lbs but I weighed it at 8.8lbs which was a pretty cool highlight to my night. It feels very light and perfectly balanced.
