That was an ultra vintage model as well. Vol, Vol, Tone, bass/treb. Played real nice and had a great P tone!

This stunning beauty of mine for the past 2.5 years has found it's way back to it's original and rightful owner, Joeykun. Some things (especially in the TB & Sadowsky community) were truly meant to be. So happy for Joey to be, not just a bass brother, but a good & trusted friend. Kudos on your visit, awesome photos, and congrats on your reacquisition.

Thanks, GiL. This is the one that I shouldn't have let go. But, glad it went to a good home. Better yet, it went to a great guy. I can't wait to play it again and keep it this time, lol. Thanks for taking care of it GiL. You're the best!!!

Got to play my MV4 today at my bands rehearsal . I was concerned a bit on the tone being I was not for active pre amp basses anymore and it seemed somewhat lacking in low end omph. But I researched this thread and found some settings to try . And today with the band it was Amazing! I now understand what you are all addicted to . It was punchy with a great tight low bass side and a snappy treble side . Oh I must mention, I was playing thru a mesa d800 active switch on passive all knobs set flat with the low mids @ 1 oclock. Pre amp on bass was Vol 85%, center dent on pan, vintage fully clockwise ( which I assume is off). Active on with treble and bass set @ 30% and I also laced up my go to strings DR Lo-riders nickels. It was heaven and now I'm hooked . It fit in the mix superbly.

I don't think the person that built mine is there anymore? Sig on the plate is hard to make out...first couple letters look like 'DO' and it looks like there's a 'WJ'...think there was a Don there earlier this year...I dunno. Would be great to meet everyone all the same. And of course try out a few basses. :whistle: Will probably have to wait until I can afford to drop cash on the spot though, I would hate to fall in love with one and have to walk away without it. :bag:

I played that bass and it felt so good and the tone was amazing thru the SA200. I doubt you'll find a figured top at this price point though! 15% is a good amount off on a NYC!
