Thanks! I had my hopes up when Kevin sent me that photo of the body. But he told me it is slated for January delivery. So I can wait..........January is not that far off.

The roughest part is not burning through the money I put aside for it! I've been trying NOT to look at the classified section!

I'm about to buy one of those MB amps you have there. Do you find them to be different in tone?

Hey Fran,
I use the F1 as my main amp. The LMII is my backup.
Both amps set flat, the F1 has more of a mid growl built in.
The F1 just works better for my tone goals.

You can read up on some of KJung's reviews. He does a much better job descibing the differences than I.

Well, the last time I owned a Sadowsky, I'm not sure this club existed. But now that I've got me a new-to-me Sad Hybrid P, I need to get signed up! So please issue me a number. Thanks!!

As with the Dingwall club (of which I am a proud member albeit with "only" used and somewhat unglamorous specimens of Sheldon's work), I am humbled by the amazing Sads that are being posted here.

But I love my new Metro Hybrid P in sonic blue. It sounds and plays awesomely, even if it is not anywhere near as glam as the instruments being posted here.

Actually I did get to see and touch the neck when I visited them in October. They are shaping the neck to match my 1988 Sadowsky, which is thinner then the newer ones.

Ken, that fretless is going to be awesome! I don't know how you're going to give any of those other beautiful basses of yours any love once that one arrives!!

Would you believe I have no live or studio recordings of this bass (and i got it in 2004, how lame is that?). Supposed to go in the studio this Jan/Feb so yeah i'd love to exchange sound clips - will need help learning how to get 'em to you. This bass is extremely warm sounding and the notes play evenly all the way up the neck. Also, makes chords sound very full. Even the old blues guys i back up like the tone of this bass. I relly like how it complements a good, tight kick drum.

Thanks for the number and the kind words of welcome everybody. I love Sad P-basses! They are so versatile. You can get that great classic fender sound by rolling off the highs with the VTC, but it does so much more than that. I also love the Jazz-like neck. It is certainly jazz-like at the nut at 1.5", BUT the neck is hardly skinny. It definitely has some beef to it.

Just perfect for me.

I am so glad to have me some Sadowsky action again!!
