+1 Fran!
Vic, that's some very nice grain on that MV5! Congrats on some beautiful instruments.

It's a dark Cherry. It's a cool color, kinda subtile, it doesn't really scream fancy top. Since unlike you and Jim Carr I don't have fancy top chops.I bought It used off ebay, I believe AJ Brown owned it at one time. And KJung tells me that he ordered it then cancelled the order. I swapped out the the HC's for SC's, and love the difference. It is probably one of the few Sadowskys on the board that wasn't owned at one time or another by Bikeplate.
I still have my Blue Metro RV5 too (#3 of 10 first year at Namm). Which one of yours seems to get the most playing time? I love that matching HS P/J.
+1, but like Burk says, you gotta have "fancy top chops" if you're going to walk on stage with something like that!
Cheers,
Kevin
Oh and BTW, I always run the onboard EQ like that......Treb about halfway up and the bass totally maxxed out full blast- classic Sadowsky tone!

Well, I don't have "fancy top chops"...

Hey Peter...nice to see you over here!! I dont have a Sadowsky strap, but I do have a Sadowsky "STRAP-ON". My NYC 5 kills. Ive also been experimenting.... I usually just have a 20% boost on bass and the treble set flat and use the VTC for everything in between. but....Try the VTC turned down 90%-100% and boost the treble about 80% it changes the mids a bit. It helps to squeeze another useful tone...Not sure the last time I've posted in the Sadowsky thread, certainly followed it for a long time. I am on Long Island so not far from the shop relatively speaking and have been in there a few of times, own a SA410 and get this a Sadowsky strap. I know you're all jealousAbout the strap.
In all seriousness I'll be riding along with you guys for the duration just to torture myself!

BC, that natural quilt 5 looks exactly like one I sold a few years ago! Wish I had kept it.

Dang, both killer, but especially that 4. Wow.Might as well list mine again!...
Might as well list mine again! Hopefully Santa will bring SC's for my 4 banger!!!
I've been good...... I think???

Holy handgrenades, Batman! That is a whole lotta bass boost!
You would know better than I what works for your tone, but for my personal preferences, I just dial in a touch of treble boost and leave the bass set flat. FWIW, I play over the neck pickup, which tends to have a more full tone to begin with.
Tom.
The best bass I have ever owned/played? Think I'll post a picture of it--my P/J!!!![]()

LMAO!!!!
Ken was the only one to pick up on that!!!!
Total joke on my part!!! LOL!!!
Bass boosted full tilt!! Good Lord, I couldn't even think what that would sound like, but I'm gonna try it tonight!!! LOL!!!
Bass boosted MAYBE 10%, treb flat, and if this one had a VTC, dial that sucker back about 20-25%.
Hmmm... I have two SA410's, a few other things, but no Sadowsky straps!![]()

I'll have to remedy that.![]()

Not only is it fretless, but neckless, bridgeless, and pickupless as well.
Very cool....
