Club Sadowsky!!!

fwiw I have all active basses, and never run the passive tone wide open. I also never juice the treble, but control that end of things with passive tone. Mostly will mess with bass or mid (if the bass has it) wrt onboard preamp eq. But I'm not a zingy tone kinda guy, however it does need to be articulate. Agree that passive tones are great, and although I never run them at 0 or 100%, I constantly am tweaking in-between depending on what tone I'm after.

I do adjust my preamp depending on song needs as well. Like many on here I sometimes kick up the treble some and then close off the VTC for an interesting tone. I also like to boost the bass some and then adjust my fDeck for a thick but tight effect. My pedal board is pretty simple, fDeck, Compression(smoothie), OD(sonic spark) - so between those and my on board preamp I get all the tones I ever really use into any system.

Does Sadowsky make a tighter string spacing at the bridge???

I have a Zon bass with a 16.5mm spacing that I just love, Its become very hard for me to go back to anything larger than that if it's an ERB …I know Roger can't go that small (or maybe he can)? But a 17mm would be just amazing!! I hope he can offer this feature in at least with the NYC basses sometime in the future.

Not sure what all spacings they offer but they do offer different spacings on NYC orders.

FYI, our website has been a little wonky over the past two weeks due to some back end issues. Looks like we've figured out the issue and things should be back to normal shortly. That said, if you can't find something you need on our site, or need to get in touch, email [email protected] or pm me.

...well, maybe not identical, but a ton of "tonal ground" is covered here! Just received my alder body PJ (w/Blue Nickel Light's) today...took the day off, to meet Mr. FedEx!

The variety of tones I can already achieve out of the PJ is ridiculous, and the build quality is...typical Sadowsky perfect!

Very worth the long wait, for sure, and a huge "Thank You!" to all the Sadowsky crew!:D

(Fwiw, went with the hardshell case on both of them...fantastic cases!)

I remember seeing that fretless. Best looking fretless I've ever seen. That Spalt top is exquisite.
