Club Sadowsky!!!

Video of me playing my White during sound check back to the first stop for April tour, played different NYC basses from 24 frets JJ, P5, Will Lee 5 for the rest of the stops... EVERY bass just sounded AWESOME... :)

Alright boys the Modern arrived. Well it wasn't quite as the ad said it was. He stated it was excellent to near mint. It's quite a ways from it. The finish was severely oxidized as was the bridge. The fingerboard has never been cleaned and this things been road hard and put up wet. The frets are shot. Well he agreed to send money for a fret job. I spent several hours polishing and finessing the fingerboard, body, and hardware. Here she is.

Okay, so don't chase me out of this club....

There is a lot (A LOT!) of love on this thread for these Sadowsky basses... so much so that I think I'm interested in one!

So, to all you owners and players is the Metro line a good place to start ones' Sadowsky ownership or would it be more advantageous to jump into the deep end for the custom NYC? And, no, I haven't read through all of the above posts to find an answer from others way ahead of me on this.

Also, I'm in the Atlanta area and If there are any owners willing to let me 'test drive' their beloved Sadowsky to help me decide on which path to take before I buy, that would very much be appreciated!! :)

Metro is a great way to get your feet wet in the Sadowsky world but be warned you'll become addicted quickly!

It depends, I guees, what you are looking for. If weight and being able to choose your wood are really important to you then an NYC is the way to go. Otherwise, a Metro or Satin will do just as well.

That also depends and is a preference thing. Roger Sadowsky firmly believes lighter bodied instruments resonate and sound better.
