Club Sadowsky!!!

Okay, so don't chase me out of this club....

There is a lot (A LOT!) of love on this thread for these Sadowsky basses... so much so that I think I'm interested in one!

So, to all you owners and players is the Metro line a good place to start ones' Sadowsky ownership or would it be more advantageous to jump into the deep end for the custom NYC? And, no, I haven't read through all of the above posts to find an answer from others way ahead of me on this.

Also, I'm in the Atlanta area and If there are any owners willing to let me 'test drive' their beloved Sadowsky to help me decide on which path to take before I buy, that would very much be appreciated!! :)

Ask around....There are plenty of Sadowsky owners in the Atlanta area.

I played an MV4 at Atlanta Discount Music a few weeks ago. Believe they had an alder/rosewood 5-string in stock as well.

FWIW, I've owned two Japanese Sadowsky basses that were under 9 pounds.

Right, Atlanta Discount Music. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what they have in the Metro 5'er.

I might be able to swing a deal with them for my Spector.

Thanks for the info!!

Maybe soon I'll be asking for a club number!!
Tully Kennedy has a Tokyo Jazz in the classifieds right now and he's in Tennessee.

I owned several metro 5 strings under 8.5lbs. One of them were right around 8.1lbs and had a 4 string under 8lbs!

There's actually a metro 5 string will lee for sale in the classifieds (I was the first owner) but it weighs 8.3lbs and he's selling it for around $2500. If you can't find it here he's defiantly on reverb as well.

On the side note, I have a NYC satin 5 string alder/rosewood coming to me next week!! Can't wait to try out my first NYC!
