Club Sadowsky!!!

Beauty. Like the case. What's it covered in?

How bout a P/SJ?

A cloth-backed plastic, stamped to look like alligator skin. Really classy; great detail in the stitching.

Whoa...P/SJ...now there's a concept!

First take on the Super J pickup set:

Smooth, refined, well-balanced. It's amazing how being able to choose the front or rear coil of the bridge pup, or both, really gives three distinct tonal personalities to the bass. Three different flavors of excellent.
Very nice.
I have a used NYC PJ4 arriving tomorrow.
This just adds to my anxiousness. :)

After all that, I sent the bass to the shop yesterday for Lisa to take a look at the preamp. My blend pot replacement has the tone and everything where it should be; but, the instrument only has about 75% of the output capability that all my other Sadowsky preamp equipped basses have. Which was the way things were before the the blend pot went out.

Which is probably enough to work with; but, I tend to be distracted by things like that, which I know aren't really right. This was kind of a tough call, because the bass has been out more than it has been in. Still, the bones are great, and I'm just on a mission to get it where it should be.

I thought about just installing a new 4 knob preamp, because honestly the mid boost does absolutely nothing for me. But, again, that wouldn't really be right either.

Anyhow, I talked to Lisa and she kindly agreed to take a look at it. To paraphrase, the bass is in awesome hands with Sadowsky!

OK, the Cherry Bomb is back.

"Awesome hands with Sadowsky." Truer words were never posted here. Huge shout out to Lisa, who went through the entire preamp, rewiring it to NYC standards, and replaced two of the pots, all under warranty. Lisa rocks. Write it down.:bassist:
