Club Sadowsky!!!

And it's not even a NYC. I have a friend who worked there in the 90's for quite a while... he's never had anything but great things to say about Mr. Sadowsky. Somebody is always going to be contrary (though I understand how disappointment can make people a little nuts)... if you polled people about whether they want world peace, at least 5% would be against it.

I actually do most of the repair work at the shop and do the final set-up on everything that leaves the shop.

I'll join. Picked up a new MV4 a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely love it. Anyone know what the factory string gauges are?

I am in no way shape or form worthy of this thing, but damn it feels good. :thumbsup:

Oh boy! Today I added a set of Single Coils to go along with my Satin 5 order. I'm extremely excited to try these - I've had the Nordy version in one of my Metro's and Peter confirmed the new ones are made by Duncan. I'm 3 months in and it's starting to feel real!

OK, long shot here...

Anyone have an extra Blue Label Bright Nickel .130 (B) string laying around that you wouldn't mind selling?

I ordered a couple sets of strings from Sadowsky back in Nov., and a set from another place. Got busy with the holidays and set everything aside and kind of forgot which strings were for which bass. I had ordered (2) 4-string sets from Sadowsky, but when the order arrived, one of the sets said it was a 5-string set. So I changed my plan and decided to use that 5-string set of Nickels on my MV5-PJ. So I started re-stringing it, and low and behold, it actually WAS only a 4-string set! Just the insert in the front of the package was for a 5-string set. I would just keep the existing B string on the bass for now, but it was one of the deadest ones on the bass. I did have a spare .125 GHS of some sort laying around, so I put that on for now.

None of this would be a big deal, but I start tech week on Sunday for 2 week run of a musical and the MV5-PJ will be getting most of the playing time. Worst case, I can just order another 5-string set, use the B from that set now, and save the E-A-D-G for my next Sterling string change.
