Club Sadowsky!!!

Anyone here had luck with Phil Jones stuff?

I just ordered a D400 head and a C4 cab. Hoping that will still be able to handle the Sadowsky low B and reduce my rig load quite a bit.
I've been using a PJB Bass Buddy as a headphone amp for silent practice time and/or picking up basslines off of recordings. Had it about 8 years. Well designed and well built, I like it. That's my only experience with them, though.

This is a few years ago now, but I played a PJB Suitcase in the shop. I wasn't too impressed until we added the extension cab. Then the sound came alive. My take on this is that small drivers sound great, if you have enough of them.

Thanks, I've actually got 2 of the Compact 4 cabs on the way.

So that will be 8x5s in all, with each cab capable of 400 watts since they'll have a 4 ohm load once connected.

From all the videos I've watched they sound incredible and will really save my back (each cab weighs 20lbs).

Will report back once they arrive!

I'm really not into anything smaller than 10s for bass. Having said that, I'll take a hit in the sound department if it means preserving my back. :D

I've had the Bass Cub and the Flightcase. Like them overall, but eventually found they just didn't have enough 'ooomph'. Maybe with the two C4 cabs, it'll punch a bit more.

I recently picked up a used AER Amp Three here on TB. OMG! That thing kills! 200W and (2) 8" speakers. Sounds better than some much bigger rigs I've owned. Not cheap though. :-/
