Club Sadowsky!!!

What exactly is the difference from a Metro?

Just from first glance, it looks like limited models and features. These will only have 21 frets and not the option for 24 - like the Metro series. Also no "modern" versions.

Limited color options and using a different factory may also help offset costs. Still in Japan though with Roger and Yoshi overseeing things.

Otherwise looks like pretty much the same pickups, preamp, and woods.

I would seriously consider getting one as a backup to my Metro 24. Probably the biggest competition at that price point would be a used Sadowsky Metro.

Interesting that there are weight maximums on the Express line! Can original Metroline offer the same?

This is a great selling point that EVERY manufacturer should offer. And one of the main reasons I would buy one of these basses.

The more I think about it, these Metro Express basses are really going to shake up the industry.

Fender has the American Elite at a little over 2K. I have one, and it's a great bass, but it's heavy as all get out and doesn't have the punchy fingerstyle tone of my Metro.

Imagine being able to get a Sadowsky with same electronics and pickups as NYC models, AND a guaranteed weight of under 8.9 lbs AND it costs less!

It's a no-brainer for me, I would get one of these over the Fender any day.

Hey man I sent an email a month ago and I’m still waiting for a reply.

Don’t be afraid to give the shop a call. I’ve had to do that a few times after not getting an email response and I’ve generally gotten an answer very quickly as everyone there is pretty nice and professional on the phone.

Roger himself has picked up the phone on at least 2 occasions when I've called.

EDIT: I'm referring to the REAL Sadowsky shop....

No matter if you buy a NYC, Satin, Metroline or MetroExpress it is a Sadowsky. Whatever you choose you are getting a quality instrument. Now at different price points that really make it affordable to be part of the Sadowsky family!

Congrats on this new line Roger!!

Will you list a difference between the metroline express and the metro and Nyc? That would be awesome

Did that already....one more time:

The MetroExpress is factory made in 6 colors. The MetroLine is artisan made in many colors.

NYC is self evident. Please check out our website!

Roger

This one looks really nice. I like that the tuners are stainless/nickel looking over the satin/dull gray. Are those Dunlop Dual Design straplocks too?
