Lisa and Roger were having a great time! The Sadowsky and Genzler booths were my favorites.

Well played, sir.
So, what's the fingerboard on that black Shearin model fiver? Naturally striped ebony? I'd like to say "reverse skunk stripe" just for fun. Whatever it is, looks great!

Thank you for adding me.Sure thing. You are #526. Welcome to the club!
Thank you for adding me.
After two gigs with my new Sadowsky 5...I can clearly say that this is the best instrument I have ever owned. I love it so much, that after scouring the interwebs for a while trying to find a similar NYC 5 Fretless with no luck, I called Sadowsky and Roger answered the phone. It was an honor to speak with him...I was trying to see if they had any NYC Fretless 5's from the NAMM show...I was saddened to find out that there were none to be found and that fretless is custom order only. Roger nicely suggested that I contact Peter when he returned from NAMM to get my new bass in the Queue.
I can truly say that my bass was worth every penny for the tone, playability, artistic finish and quality craftsmanship.
Thank you Roger and Sadowsky Team.
Cheers,
John
that's my bald spot! lolView attachment 2892559 Peter, you’re too funny! You could have at least made a funny face !
Has anyone noticed that used prices for Metro "Will Lee" basses seem to be a better value than other Metros? It seems odd to me that a bass with additional features over a standard Metro doesn't hold its value as well. Is it the neck width? The preamp shouldn't be affected since it's defeatable. Single coils, seems a desired option for many. Hmm?
That is definitely the case new, as it should be. I've just noticed, over the last few months, used prices under standard Metros. I'm not complaining as I own a Will Lee 4, bought new, and am looking for the "right" 5 used.Seems to me like the WL models are a couple hundred more than non-WL, for used Metros. I do think a used Metro is a phenomenal value, though, if it's been well-cared-for.
