That says it all for me!

Roger, do you know if he is gate checking or checking it with front desk baggage check? The cats I’ve seen doing this with the better “bags” are all doing gate check; so that the bass is first on - first off.FWIW, Will Lee checks his bass through luggage with the Portabag!
Love the matching headstock.Saw my P bass (Alder/Brazilian, Blue Flats-LIGHT gauge, v-v) build on FB...getting close!View attachment 2905159
I had requested Portabag at the time of my order. Now I’m about 2 weeks from completion and have been flip flopping.
I use a bag way more, but the case looks cool, lol.
NBD! My pic doesn’t really capture the beauty of this bass...8.21 lbs (I requested 8.25)View attachment 2908242
Really happy I spec’d abalone inlays...this Brazilian board has so much character up close!View attachment 2908243
Plays like butter, and the construction is, ime, typical Roger’s shop-->such awesome attention to detail! Roger and team, thanks so much!![]()
I have a Mono M80. It's OK, but I like the Portabag way way WAY better. The Portabag is MUCH sturdier, and has better pocket space. Given that the two are the same price, the Portabag is easily the better value.
I'm not trying to talk you out of the hard case; I'd like to get one at some point. I'm mainly sayin' that I think it's unfair to call the Portabag a gig bag. Might not be as rigid as a hard case, but for local gigging I prefer the Portabag: less danger of denting a wallifwhen I'm carelessyet for my purposes it provides the same level of protection.

It arrived today... I have about 3 hours on it so far and it is fantastic. Unbelievable fit and finish, great tone. Definitely the nicest bass I have now by a longshot. Not sure how much it weighs but it is light. Has to also be the lightest bass I own now too, even among the 4 strings. View attachment 2908423
The re-engineered Blue flatwound bass strings ... are they the same tension as the previous version of the blue flatwounds?Just to add to this mention of flatwounds... we were briefly out of flatwounds in our store, but Carmine just got a shipment in of our... wait for it... reengineered Flatwound Bass Strings. These build on the quality and tone of our previous version but have improved tone, feel, and consistency. Our beta testers unanimously praised them!
