Club Sadowsky!!!

Well...my final NYC will be completed next month. 5-21 JJ (hc’s) Ash/Maple, Light Vintage Trans White, Abalone dots! Having two pickguards made...planned to go with the Vintage Pearl, but then Lisa suggested the Light Black Pearl! Which one gets installed, and which gets tossed in the case??? Suggestions, please... :)
i definitely like lisa's idea of the black pearl because it ties in with the abalone better. i'd go vintage pearl if you had regular mother of pearl dots. lisa is a very good source for suggestions as well as a fantastic builder imho. awesome bass, btw. grats!

Probably gonna be posting it up for sale this weekend....
But I’ll throw up a feeler here real quick.
Will Lee Metro with Pat Wilkins refin in Shoreline Gold.
$2250

Ok, I've been lucky to be able to buy 2 Sadowsky basses last year, a Will NYC 4 and a metro MV5. Those basses are the bomb. I 've toured with it, recorded with it , the thing is I saw a Modern NYC 5 24 satin ( it's now sold ) and damn I thought to myself that it would be cool to get another one... I should be satisfied ( and believe me I am) but even I got me a pino palladino Pbass later in 2017, but sometimes I tell myself that I should maybe get a sadowsky p or Pj instead...

Yep Sadowsky are great basses, but problem is that once you tried them, if you like 'em, you'll end up wanting (and owning I guess) several of them!

This is the dangerous truth of Sadowsky basses... they are like Lays potato chips, you can't have just one.

My V4PJ was originally shipped with a parchment guard that I picked (it is an antique shoreline gold finish). I always regretted not getting a 2nd pick guard. Just got my tort one from the shop on Friday. I'll take a pic tomorrow in the light to show it off. If you are doing a custom order, get a 2nd pg. It is nice to be able to change with your mood, if you get bored, etc. Some basses can really take on different characters too. When I had my translucent black Metro Will Lee, the black pearl pickguard looked great in my metal band, while the tort pickguard looked great to give it a more vintage/traditional look for other gigs.
