I am in Nashville this week. I will be stopping by Corner Music tomorrow to talk to JD about one. Not sure I will pull the trigger but it is awfully tempting.

However my daughter happened to ask what I was looking at and chimed in and said get the green one but with black pg. I know I want a maple neck but I don’t think I’ve ever seen that combo.
Maybe it’s a sign, her middle name is Sage.
For me it was between the blue and the sage green one. They both look amazing.

If you have time, I think it would be worthwhile to take an approximately 2.5 hour drive down to the San Diego area and visit Bass San Diego.
Not sure what their Sadowsky stock is right now, but you could give them a call: 858-550-0300.

I went down to BSD the last time I was in LA- great shop. But I checked their site the other day and they did not have many Sadowsky’s
But it’s never a bad idea to visit the San Diego area...
Has anyone owned any Sadowsky's in both Lake Placid Blue and Ice Blue Metallic? Curious about the differences.
I found these two photos and they look really similar except maybe the ice-blue is a little lighter?

yes, I can assure you that ice blue is several shades lighter/grayer than lake placid blue.

A lot of talk about the new Express. Being that it's much more cost effective, also that's it's 8.9 lbs. and I'll assume they'll be some even lighter. I really have to wonder if it's going to hurt the sales of the higher end models? Trade off, fancy tops or savings of $4000.00! Which would you buy?
I think Lake placid blue is lighter than the bass in your sample. That's not a Sadowsky
I have my Metro PJ 5 in Lake Placid blue with a tort guard. I can post a pic tonite after work if you'd like.
The NYC PJ4 string in my avatar is LPB as well...
I think the Ice Blue and Tort looks pretty good myself. 
Lake placid blue is a strong blue, ice blue is significantly paler. Here are pics from the Recently Sold page at sadowsky.com. Both instruments have a satin finish, which will soften the hue as well as feel softer to the touch. Ice blue first, LPB second.
