Sunbeams, high beams. similar overall string but the Bs on the DRs have always gone wonky for me past the 3rd or 4th fret. On lots of basses. Lo riders are a bit better.

Not to to change the subject but any thoughts about the combo of sage green/tort guard(or maybe black) on a maple neck? I just googled to try to find anything with that combo to get a visual and only rosewood necks seem to have that combo

I think I saw one like that on their FB page not too long ago. I may have been dreaming though.... maybe because my current NYC Satin order is Sage green with tort and Morado board, lol...
ETA next month for mine! Getting the itch....

I just came across this combo on the recently sold section on the Sadowsky site and went “ooooh” but then went “awww” when I realized it’s a different blue that’s being offered on the express.
This is a really nice combo imo. But I think the green would be killer as well.
It's due for delivery next month-believe me as soon as it's in my hands there will be pics. Oh yes, there will be pics.
That’s a super classy look. Somehow it’s really fresh looking but at the same time has a nod to the past with that combo.

Action is a little too high for my taste but I'll go get it adjusted by a pro early next week. Also, standard SS strings (Blue Label Sadowsky) are rough on my fingers but sound ok. I have ordered Sadowsky BL Nickels from Bass Strings Online and have a set of NYXL at the house. Which set should I string her with? I think I'll go for Sadowsky Nickels. Are they smooth strings compared to D'Addarios?
