Had a Metro HPJ4 that looked like that (but with a J pup, of course) and had to sell it due to a financial issue at the time.
I made the mistake of walking into my favorite music store today and I found this and picked it up and played it:
After about 10 minutes of playing it I immediately put it on layaway. So I'm going to be selling off some gear pretty soon to finish paying for it. The Sadowsky modern should be renamed the GAS generator

THAT is exactly how I picked up my Metro MV4HPJ from Mesa Hollywood. Hubby went in to look at guitar stuff so I meandered over to the bass stuff because I was curious about the new Strategy and Prodigy back then. Then I saw a gorgeous Metro and started playing it while he was busy in the guitar section. Mesa Hollywood gave us $200 discount since we bought 2 guitars that day.

The GAS generator is my wife's cooking.
But seriously, I own that same model. I know why you have to have it.

I just want to know how you were able to change a pickguard with your TV/cable remote? Does the function itself come bundled, or can you get it ala carte?
(I like both... usually, I choose a guard that meshes with the fretboard, and contrasts with the body... think fretboard=tie, and pickguard=shoes... the body is the suit)
Looks great either way. I am probably in the minority but I prefer the parchment.
Does this have a P sound or is it the Sadowsky vintage J sound in another shape?

Normally I'm a tort guy but the white contrasts better to that gorgeous top. I'm 50/50.
