I'd first check, seeing if there's a significant other. Then, all smooth like and everything, wearing a sophisticated strap, ask it...

"Think you'd like to hang with me?"...

... this line works only with the singles, on a stand. If there are multiple SBF's (Sadowsky Bass Friends), I'd move on, as they will just laugh at you, throwing little umbrellas from their drinks...

... I'm speaking from experience, here... those things are like little darts.

You can contact the shop, they have records of serial numbers and build years.

This bass is just...... The best I've ever owned/seen/tried/played/expected/dreamed!
Yes, it's that good. I'm now considering another one even if I have to sell a kidney or a testi*.
The Modern series are actually very modern. It sound tight, straight, defined whatever the configuration. If you are into vintage tone, do not even consider this bass.
It slightly reminds me the straightforward sound the the Musicman, but with a much wider sound palette and the typical Sadowsky tone. The B string sounds and growls like absolutely nothing else. The B string of my Sadowsky MV5-24 sounds good too, but simply not like that!
The neck is the best I've ever played. I thought my Lakland 55-94 Deluxe was one of the best I ever played. But the Sadowsky Modern is way beyond the Lakland. I use D'addario EPS300-5 Stainless steel tapered strings as I like super clean and massive tone. I really enjoy when strings are very close to the neck for comfort and slap.
The way I set up the string is so close to it, I feel they actually relay on the neck!
It's the first time I ever feel an instrument is actually making me a better musician.

So apparently the Sadowsky I purchased will not be arriving for over a week...I paid on Reverb last Sat. Was just sent a message today that the person in charge of shipping my bass quit. I’m pretty much ready to just bask for a refund and find a Sadowsky elsewhere.

I've been in shipping before. Wondering why that one guy is the only one who can add dimensions/weight into an online UPS/FedEx label generator?

Sounds fishy.

Do they have a different person for every bass they ship?
So far I’ve had 3 different people send me messages don’t know how to feel. One way is there are many people involved on orders so that’s good to have redundancy on order checking.
Another way is it’s so disorganized that no one guy knows what the others are doing and anyone can just take an order and drop it and someone else has to pick it up.
