Selling my ash/maple Metro WL5. $2,200.00 I cover the shipping (in the CONUS) Thought I would post here first. I purchased this bass here on TB over a year ago just to try out the WL5. This is a great bass. I liked it so much I bought the NYC version to get the lightest weight variation possible. I have three Sadowskys at the moment so I'm letting one go. Thinning the herd!

LOVE that build. :thumbsup: I'd be super tempted but this week I spent over that much on other gear so I'm broke. Good luck on the sale!

... they had the two black wires on the stereo jack swapped, in essence allowing the battery to drain straight to ground, whether anything was plugged into it, or not...

... recheck your wiring.

Quick question... Will the neck cradle in the Portabag have any effect on the Nitro finish on NYC necks over time? I saw there were little guards with the case candy for guitar stands, just got me thinking about the Portabag and storage.

Been using Portabags with my NYC Sadowskys for 8.5 years now. They've caused no problems with the nitro finish.

I believe the little guards are for older stands that used rubber or surgical tubing. Most modern stands use a spongy plastic foam that doesn't react with nitro.

This exact thing happened on an Ibanez of mine. It was driving me bonkers trying to find the short. Pulled the jack to make sure it wasn't a problem with it, and it worked fine outside of the body. Which really confused me. Reinstalled it and the shorting started again. That was the aha moment. I looked in the jack route and saw that some of the conductive paint had splashed into the route, right where the jack would touch it. Flipped the jack over and zero problems since.

You don't know if you don't ask. I may just have to put it up for sale but we shall see. Lots of 5 strings go through the classifieds but with a kid on the way I have to keep myself on a short leash.
