On the back of one of my NYC basses, the screws that hold the control cavity cover on are getting pretty rusty looking. How do I go about getting some new ones? I sent an email but I didn't get a response. Thanks.

For those type of screws, I usually break out the digital calipers, do a quick search for the size, and buy a bag of 4 at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. The shipping alone makes it a little cost prohibitive. I imagine @deepestend can give a quick comment on screw size.
Yeah if I could get a direct source, I'd probably buy quite a few to have as spares.
Is there a sound difference in the stacked vs split versions of pickups? Are they available to be purchased from the shop?
I sent the shop an email a couple of weeks ago and was told that they had stopped offering single coil pickups for sale because it was difficult to keep them in stock for their regular production and additionally keep them in stock for sale.
So, I wonder if I should just go for the stacked instead of the singles?
I can't say of there was a tonal difference since I could not A/B the two sets. If there was, it was minimal. I do like the stacked set very much, both tone and dead quiet. I'm pretty sure they will sell them to you.
If you want singles, try some SD Antiquity IIs. Years ago, IIRC, Roger told me they were the same as his singles.

I really wish Roger would offer black hardware for the Satin series. This bass is CRYING for black hardware. Still a stunning bass though.

LOL, I'm not one to name my instruments. I just call them by their model name.
I'm normally not a fan of black basses but that one is sharp like cheddar and smooth like chocolate milk. I bet it sounds fantastic!

Thanks. I get it. But, I think the Satin Series models are a great idea. A few different model offerings, chambered bodies with chrome hardware, under $3K for a NYC is smart. If you want options then you step up to the custom build. If all this is too much then you have the Metroline or the Metroline Express models. Makes good business sense.
Black and Maple is a classic look. That one is sure sweet!

I would love to hear some sound clips! The comparison video they did between the Modern and Vintage pickup placement on these models was interesting, but I'm always in for another one, especially if it is a 4-string!
