Club Sadowsky!!!

Just a public service announcement, I had an opportunity to play a Sadowsky metro express today and was not disappointed at all.

Absolutely awesome bass even when played side-by-side with a regular metro line or an NYC bass.

If you’re still trying to think of Christmas presents, you can’t go wrong with one of those.
Please inform my wife! Lol

You know what would be even better???? If your public service announcement was approved by my wife!

A superb wiring job. Another example of excellence from Sadowsky.

Spectacular!
One can not avoid wondering - where's the preamp? Seems they managed to shrink it so it fits on the Potentiometers back. That's a NASA approach cavity...

In the Satin Series they use the prewired preamps and drop them in. Where as the stand alone pre has a little more wiring going on. But, always a clean wiring job no matter what model you choose!

100% same experience here with the replacement SCs. First I changed volume pot from 250 to 500... better with SC (round edges) and HC. Than changed to Vol/Vol/Tone- again much better. Than I got me SC from Harry Häussel (German PU maker), that worked out great (articulation, mids, bass & highs). Love the bass!!! Still would like to try the newer HCs (my MV5 is an earlier model) but I am really happy for some years now!! Vol/Vol/Tone/Pre and Dunlop Marcus Miller strings.
cheers, h
hi guys, finally changed to the latest Sadowsky HC pickups and I am very happy with the result!!!!

if you're asking latest Stacked HC, I will say the the new stack got right amount of mid-range naturally, nothing more and nothing less while there is enough of top end, really balance sounding one to my ears.

Are you referring to the latest HC split coil or the NYC stacked HC pickups?
I think they are the latest HC split coils. At first sight they look just like the ones that came with my early metro mv5 but they were not fixed to the housing.
I swopped them with an owner of a new metro 5 string. The old ones I sold some time ago so I can't compare one to one- hope that helps!?
