My wife also joined me for a trip to Sadowsky during our New York vacation last year. It was nice that they offered her coffee, water, etc. We both met Roger too.

You have great taste! I learned on a 5 string and have never played a 4 string, I would be completely lost.

I have a Metro WL 5 built in 2013, according to the serial number table. Would that have single coil pups?

WLs came stock w/ SC Pickups. Unless they were swapped out at one time, it should have SCs.
I love the idea of these pickups. I don’t love the look — but that’s personal preference. This might be one time I prefer solid covers.
I just got home from a Tower of Power cover band rehearsal and tonight I took my Sadowsky Modern 5 for the first time...
So far I've taken 4 really great basses that I own, but the Sadowsky just absolutely killed it. The band even thought I had a completely different rig, but nope, still the same amp and cabs. The bass was warm, punchy and just the right level of mids and brightness.
Rocco's basslines are seriously tough on your right hand, but the pickups are in just the right spot for my playing technique and acted as a "ramp" the whole time. I seriously fall in love with this bass everytime I take it out to play.
