Club Sadowsky!!!

So after several years playing between my Sadowsky RV5 PJ and my Fender Deluxe 5 with the Sadowsky pre I've placed my order for a Sadowsky NYC Satin 5,(Alder/Marado), the wait is Killin me. Just curious why they decided to remove the cross bar/string retainer holding down the B string at the nut? I know they did this a few years back, evidently it didn't make a difference on the sound or tension on the B-string? Just curious.

Rig shot from Friday’s show.

I wondered who ended up with that super light ice blue metallic one!

These Metro Express models sure go fast. I've pretty much made up my mind that the Sadowsky Modern is my favorite bass of all time, but I sure wouldn't mind having one of these on hand as well.

I think it would look amazing with a black pickguard as well.
I agree, but prefer the current one. BTW, I'm putting a set of those new stacked coils in it too, so it should be super quiet.

There were two of them! Also, we have express pickguards in stock now.

O.K. here I am, I couldn't afford a new one but this came up and it darn sure looks new. I'll take a number please. At this price point I am surprised that there are so many out there. I REALLY like that green one!View attachment 3381486

Yummy!

For some reason, I'm suddenly craving root beer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nice, welcome to the family! I’ve been watching (okay, creeping) on your TalkBass posts since you played that in your local GC and we’re smitten; my guess is that playing your Sadowsky bass at a show will be a game-changer for you like it was for so many of us here. Looking forward to some gig reports with the new bass soon!
