Great looking bass, Gary! I may know where you got it from, since I was drooling at a posting. I need a little more time to the gear money re-appropriated, then I'm hoping to be ready to jump on one with the same specs when it is available.
Here's my understanding, explained crudely. Corrections/clarifications welcome.
Pretty sure VTC is last. Putting a passive tone after an active preamp brings output impedance closer to passive, which means that cable capacitance again becomes a factor (it isn't on low impedance buffered active circuits). In other words, a passive tone control makes an active bass sound less active (less upper treble) even when it isn't rolled back -- a good thing IMO (emphasis on the O).
As for a plot: well, the VTC (Vintage Tone Control) is a standard passive tone control. These can vary in response depending on the values of the components, but they behave pretty similarly: variable LPF.

...but with an emerging low mid bump depending on values of things and the amount of roll-off.
IMHO, this is almost as significant of an "effect" as the high end attenuation WRT tone. This is why I personally prefer to have a VTC in an active bass even if it doesn't support passive mode operation.

Back living in the States after our amazing 2.5 years in Taiwan. Ellis sent me these yesterday of my new custom build single cut. Finish wise it will match the Adam Clayton pink metal flake below! Oh and Anna is my twin daughter.

Something special Roger and crew picked out for me, first time I saw it was yesterday.
Does anyone know a general time frame for warranty repairs? I purchased a new Sadowsky back in July that arrived broken. I sent it back for repair a few days after receiving it, and can't get a response from Sadowsky as far as a timeline. I've been trying for a couple weeks to get an answer to no avail.
I sent a bunch of emails over the course of a few weeks. Sent to the customer service email, as well as Roger, Carl, and Will's addresses. I did get one response back from Will eventually that said they Roger or Carl would contact me eventually, but that was sometime ago.
I had anticipated it would be a few week turn around, but now I'm starting to worry this is a few month affair, in which case I would have asked for a refund since I've never gotten to use the bass. I dont want to get anyone in trouble, I just am trying to figure out what I need to do, since I have more gigs coming up. If its going to be months, I need to get my Fender worked on a.s.a.p. by a local tech so that it will at least be ready.
