$700 Sire are great basses. I guessing that $1,000 Sadowsky’s will be better. Genuine Sadowsky neck profile and good fretwork for $1,000 will be too good for me to walk away from.
That's beautiful, I love that finish.Well, with all the commotion about Sadowsky production, I am especially pleased with today's NBD, my first Custom NYC (2008 closet queen):

Ok so I’m seriously considering ordering a NYC Satin 5-21 with a “Blue” body and Morado neck. Here are the possible blues, I will be doing a Black Pearl Guard. What’s everyone’s opinion?

For me, it's between the Lake Placid Blue and the Ocean Blue. The Dark LP Blue is nice, but it has a lot of gray; not sure how it would come across on stage.I posted this in the other Sadowsky thread, it probably really belongs over here.

Here are a couple of photos from my band's gig at PrideFest here in Springfield, IL last Saturday. We were the middle band of three bands on the main stage, which was at one end of the PrideFest event (it spanned several city blocks), with the Illinois State Capitol building in the background. Photos by CB Media.
There were an estimated 20,000 people over the course of the day who attended Springfield Pridefest. We're not Chicago, we are a mid-sized city, so that's pretty incredible for us. It was an awesome, unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience playing that show.
The bass is my Lake Placid Blue Sadowsky Satin J-Bass. The best bass ever made.
The woman in the black dress next to me isn't in the band, she was the ASL sign language interpreter, which was cool and a first for me.
Happy Pride season to all who celebrate it!

In satin I like the regular LPB. Dark is better in gloss finish.I posted this in the other Sadowsky thread, it probably really belongs over here.
I know this is not Morado or black PG, but I've always like this one posted on the Sadowsky website Satin product page. Dark LPB.

When I play one of my Sadowsky's I simply smile every time, that's all I can ask for because I look forward to the next practice, rehearsal, or gig where I know I'll be playing a Sadowsky. Hopefully with the changes more players around the world will have that satisfaction from MetroExpress on up.
...principal thing: must be a 5-string, then any blue will do!I posted this in the other Sadowsky thread, it probably really belongs over here.
Someone had good taste when they ordered that one. Enjoy it.Well, with all the commotion about Sadowsky production, I am especially pleased with today's NBD, my first Custom NYC (2008 closet queen):
