$700 Sire are great basses. I guessing that $1,000 Sadowsky’s will be better. Genuine Sadowsky neck profile and good fretwork for $1,000 will be too good for me to walk away from.

I feel like all of this is in part to please Dr. Cheese. You mentioned Sadowsky basses so many times in your threads, and always backed off so that you could make some more financially sound compromises, and finally Roger decided “let’s do this for the Doc”

Ok so I’m seriously considering ordering a NYC Satin 5-21 with a “Blue” body and Morado neck. Here are the possible blues, I will be doing a Black Pearl Guard. What’s everyone’s opinion?

For me, it's between the Lake Placid Blue and the Ocean Blue. The Dark LP Blue is nice, but it has a lot of gray; not sure how it would come across on stage.

Here are a couple of photos from my band's gig at PrideFest here in Springfield, IL last Saturday. We were the middle band of three bands on the main stage, which was at one end of the PrideFest event (it spanned several city blocks), with the Illinois State Capitol building in the background. Photos by CB Media.

There were an estimated 20,000 people over the course of the day who attended Springfield Pridefest. We're not Chicago, we are a mid-sized city, so that's pretty incredible for us. It was an awesome, unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience playing that show.

The bass is my Lake Placid Blue Sadowsky Satin J-Bass. The best bass ever made.

The woman in the black dress next to me isn't in the band, she was the ASL sign language interpreter, which was cool and a first for me.

Hey Wild Bill; I really thought this LPB Satin from Nomogram looked amazing and really popped out on stage. This would be my first choice.

For me, the dark LP, no question. I owned a gloss DLP once and it was beautiful. I think the satin DLP looks very classy.

In satin I like the regular LPB. Dark is better in gloss finish.

When I play one of my Sadowsky's I simply smile every time, that's all I can ask for because I look forward to the next practice, rehearsal, or gig where I know I'll be playing a Sadowsky. Hopefully with the changes more players around the world will have that satisfaction from MetroExpress on up.

The thing that doesn't get mentioned enough is that at home with an Ampeg BA10 or something, many basses sound similar.
You get to a gig and a Sadowsky really comes alive, especially at the bottom end.
I'll use the Sire or a Squier for casual gigs or jams but come serious gigs or recording, it'll always be the NYCs.
I wish when I was in the UK as a teenager I'd had the option of an entry-level Sadowsky.
You lucky people.

@Joeykun That is about what I was thinking. The photo shop really helps to see how it would turn out, just it will be a 5er. Now I just have to decide between Dark and regular LPB for sure.
